A Boy’s Anguish

If only
I were a girl
Oceans of Emotions unfurl
At my fingers twirl

If only
I were a girl
I Attract unending smiles
As fake as dry ice

If only
I were a girl
Every turn I make
Would churn a placid lake

If only
I were a girl
The world would dance
Dazed at my chemical romance

If  only
I were a girl
Simple glances; just the need
Even for a sinewy heart to bleed

If only
I were a girl
My kiss would waste
Every man’s indecisive haste

Alas!
I am just a boy
Living life; another dream.
Caught in a haze;
Flowing with the stream.

If only
I could strip the beast
Tame it’s beauty,
Show it the rightful place.
Nah!!
Sigh!!

No honor now lay
In calling spade a spade
For man risked life,
only dark waters to wade.

If only
Life was simple; ever!!
pure like a flowing river.
Rejoice we would
basking in mirth forever.
