Scars of a war
Haze of scarlet mist now pocketed
the blotted patches of sunny
baldness
whence life retched on an
ochre field.
Rusty silver stars on his proud
shoulder
gleamed in the grace of moist
vapors,
the last breath; death’s touch
revealed.
Smoldered copper mingled in his
blood;
Life tasted sweeter; immortality
he shed.
Fate’s side of the coin
Let not those eyes witness the devil’s lair
slip not into
a wild dream, it aint any fair.
Far away in
the cradles of a spring so blue,
red
rubies born of an angel’s eye await you.
The hands of
the clock lie; time is still tender
Lose not hope,
let the magic of God render
what you have lost here, that you may find
Awaken O
fallen soldier, leave not us behind.
Wrath of destiny’s blade
Swing to the tunes of my mystic
mime
loosen the hold, let peace flow
through.
Deeds done have now answered his
call,
the gates of heaven ajar; wait
upon you.
As memories stain our blistered
hearts,
lend me your soul, walk the final
mile.
In your absence, as remorse finds
shade.
Like open wounds, we will bleed a
while.
The edge of darkness
As fate and destiny vie on
his death bed,
sunset
seemed serene under his gory eye.
Nature stood
still mourning his demise,
Years of
fight now seemed all a dirty lie.
Shards of
pledges now adorned his gaze,
Happily ever
after; just a famous telltale.
O’r
a silent sky as dawn spread her wing
death held
her charm; sickly smile so stale.
~ The Fate of Destiny ~
Destiny
never was any mistress too kind
innocence
masked spite; millions left blind.
Stokes
desires; a myth of the crimson light.
lo!
beneath creeps the shadow; it aint fright.
Grab
courage, stab the devil deep in the chest.
fear
not any mutiny; soothe the soul to rest.
For,
death comes naught. just broken peace,
At
a morbid smile would it untimely cease.
PS: Fate and Destiny. The two dark
creatures lurking in the dark playing the foul game. Here lies a soldier
mortally injured and awaits death and they take him on a walk down the memory
lane. Fate wants him alive as she feels he has still lot many years to walk the
land while destiny feels he has fulfilled his task for which he has been put
here. He feels the fight for survival all these years has been frittered away
as death approaches him. The broken promises to the people he loves makes him
think Destiny never leaves you to your dreams; it always haunts you to your
end.
