Sweet Sorrows

Tears formed little puddles,
her reflection’s rhythm swayed in.
As her heavy head bent low
clouded by stress & sinister spin.
Of the world that ruthlessly turned
against an angel; an innocent girl,
who believed people still played
by the tune of truth’s swirl & twirl.
In love she put her immense faith,
blinded by unending silly simplicity.
Until only her trust remained; pain
peeled the touches of masqueraded pity.
As she looked into the broken
slivers of a mirror flashing gloom.
Her mate mocked and mutilated her,
a picture she could never assume.
Foolish she out rightly was
to follow a person so blind.
To her hearts wailing & moaning;
insensitivity beyond being unkind.
As the night’s dark veil dawned
on her face written of grim fate & hurt.
She could see the future ahead,
a blurred road heaped in rubble & dirt.
Still she smiled with a reason,
Eyes full of sparkles lighting up
a dull corner in the street.
Her love remained too pure,
to the only one her destiny would  meet.

PS: The one that got left behind.
